| This is one of my favorite supplements!!! It makes you want to complete your chores and work when you don't want to. Vinpocetine is derived from vincamine, an alkaloid found in the periwinkle plant. Vinpocetine has been used in medical practice in Europe for over 2 decades. It is a tablet that is small and can be swallowed easily. Experiments with Vinpocetine show that it can dilate blood vessels, enhance circulation in the brain, improve oxygen utilization, make red blood cells more pliable, and inhibit aggregation of platelets. Vinpocetine has antioxidant properties too. Levels peak in the bloodstream within an hour and a half after ingestion. Vinpocetine easily crosses the blood-brain barrier. Once you try it you will agree with me that this plant is definately a blessing from The Almighty!!! You can use it everyday but you don't have to. For me, I take one on those days when I want to "play hooky" and I know I have a full day of work ahead of me. It enhances bloodflow to brain. That means your memory will improve.
